Notorious Robber Terrorizing Lagos Nabbed



The Leader of a notorious robbery gang terrorizing Lagos and other south-west states was Thursday, arrested by operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS, Lagos.
The suspect, identified as Abiodun Ogunjobi, a.k.a, Abbey Godogodo, met his waterloo when SARS operatives who have been on his trail for a long time, laid ambush for him at his mansion at Egbeda area of Ibadan, Oyo state and also recovered two Ak47 rifles and 10 fully loaded magazines.

According to reports, Godogodo was behind the July 7, 2013, gruesome murder of seven persons at O4 Hotel, a popular hotel in Ajah area of Lagos, including the owner, Olarinwaju Subair.

ALUU 4: Prosecution substitutes charges, as suspects plead not guilty



PORT HARCOURT – PLAINTIFFS in the court case over murder of four University of Port Harcourt students in Aluu, Rivers State have withdrawn and presented fresh charges against suspects on trial over the incident.

A High Court presided over by Justice L.L Nyordee in Port Harcourt sitting over the matter granted the leave to substitute the charges following Prosecution’s request after adding one more suspect to the 11 earlier on trial. Thursday’s hearing also advanced the trial to the reading of the reviewed charges to the current 12 suspects who all pleaded not guilty.

SHOCKING: Why I Murdered My Husband - 17-yr-Old Wife



Seventeen-year-old  Maryam Yahaya has told the police that she killed her husband because he usually subjected her to “excessive” s-éx after she was forced to marry him last year.
Maryam was alleged to have killed her husband, 26-year old Lawal Bala, a butcher from Gangare in Jos North Local Government of the State.
She told PUNCH Metro at ‘A’ Division of the state police command that for the past one year that she married her husband, he turned her into a s-éx machine by making love to her at least six times a day.

OJ Simpson gets parole on some charges but to remain in prison



Last week O.J. Simpson, 66, went before the Nevada Parole Board seeking an early release from prison on his 2008 kidnapping and robbery conviction. The retired American football player was sentenced to up to 33 years in prison for forcibly retrieving personal items from a sports memorabilia dealer, items O.J. said had been stolen from him. 
O.J. told the parole panel he regretted going to the hotel that night, explaining, "I just wish I never went to that room. I wish I just said keep it."
OJ was granted parole, but he will remain in prison. According to reports, OJ Simpson was granted parole on some charges but not on others and must serve at least 4 more years of his 33 year sentence.

The publishers of Global News were yesterday arrested in connection with a scandalous story involving Tunde Folawiyo, the business magnate and entrepreneur. Segun Ogunbunmi of Global News and Kunle Rasheed of Global Excellence were arrested after publishing a story in Global News which alleged that Mr. Folawiyo had been involved in an affair with former beauty queen Ifeoma Williams. Photos Of Chidi Llyod In Court Since His Arrest: He Can't Walk



Leader of Rivers House of Assembly, Hon Chidi Llyod, was on Wednesday arraigned before Justice L. L Nyordee of the Port-Harcourt high court. He was brought amidst a very tight security mounted by the anti-riot policemen drawn from the Rivers State Police Command.
Llyod was unable to walk on his own but was aided by two security men into the court.
He is facing a six-count charge of conspiracy to murder and assault, attempted murder and malicious damage arising from the fracas in the House of Assembly on 9 July.  His arraignment provoked a heated argument between Worgu Boms, Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice and Chika Dewingwe, SAN, representing the Nigeria Police.

The second journey to Police Stations in Nigeria: 

A stern looking and gun-totting policeman mounting guard at the entrance of the police station yelled, "Who are you looking for?"

“The Divisional Police Officer,” this Punch correspondent replied.
After being informed the DPO was not around, the visitor requested to see the divisional crime officer.
While being led into the arrival room of the police station, which is popularly called the charge room, he was welcomed by three photographs hanging on the walls, directly opposite the entrance of the station.

Nigerian Man Dies In UK Three Weeks After Assault



A 47-year-old Nigerian man, who is believed to have been assaulted in E5 on Wednesday 10 July has now died. Shortly before 16.10hrs on that day, police came across an injured man on the pavement in Upper Clapton Road, Rossington Street, E5.

Officers attended to the man, who had suffered a serious head wound following a suspected assault. The London Ambulance Service also attended and the man was taken to the Royal London Hospital in a critical condition. His condition deteriorated and he died on Sunday 28 July at 20:00hrs. He has been named as Bakre Yesufu, 47 of Rossington Street, E5.

The Federal Government of Nigeria on Tuesday insisted on retaliatory action against British citizens if their government went ahead with its plan to impose a £3,000 visa bond on visitors from Nigeria and five other Commonwealth countries.
“If and when a communication to that effect is received, the Federal Government will take appropriate steps to reflect its national interest. ”
Governor expressed displeasure that the UK authorities, which already set November as the discriminatory policy’s commencement time, had not formally communicate to it on the next step of action.

Armed Robbers Arrested In Ondo And You Won't Believe The Reasons They Gave For The Criminal Act



Residents of Akure town in Ondo State recently heaved a sigh of relief after the Anti-Robbery Squad of the Ondo State Police Command arrested several armed robbery suspects who had been snatching vehicles and dispossessing their victims of other valuables.  Among the suspects currently undergoing interrogation at the SARS office are Tobechukwu Aguonu a.k.a. Alhaji Seriki Thunder and Uche Igwe. It was gathered that the two suspects, along with one Chinedu (surname unknown) invaded the premises of their latest victim’s house at about 11 p.m. on Wednesday, July 3 where they hid until about 3a.m. on July 4 when they struck.

A father Dies As Explosion guts Dangote Cement Plant





“The deceased who was an indigene of the host community and staff of the parking plant of the company was hit by limestone at the quarry after an explosion that occurred when workers at the site were prospecting for raw materials.

“His death sparked angry reaction from fellow workers and youths of the community who in protest took the corpse of the young man to the palace of the traditional ruler of the community, Tyoor Ukpekpe, Chief Ishi Yonguigba.
