Nigerian Air Force Helicopter Crashes in Borno



A Nigeria Air Force Helicopter crashed this afternoon in Bama, Borno State.  Director of Defence Information, Chris Olukolade revealed the news via a press statement: A Nigerian Air Force Mi-35 Helicopter on a training mission this afternoon, crashed due to technical fault at a location South of Bama.  Investigation has commenced to unravel the circumstances that led to the accident.  Meanwhile, it is established that the crash is not as a result of any enemy action. Further details on the crash will be made known as soon as the investigation progresses

She said she was heading to London to appear on the BBC Hardtalk programme but was prevented from boarding her flight by security operatives who confiscated passport. She was later released and allowed to board her 8a.m British Airways flight. See her tweets below

Mentally Ill Woman Nabbed With 5-Year Old Dead Baby In Lagos [ Disturbing Photos- Viewer discretion advised ]



 A lady thought to be mad today was caught with a corpse of a child thought to be around 5-year old which she packed in a nice Ghana must go  around Mile 2, very near Festac town in Lagos. No plan to impeach Ajimobi – Oyo lawmaker

A member of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Murphy Adigun-Ahmed, on Sunday said the House has no plan to impeach the state governor, Abiola Ajimobi.

Mr. Adigun-Hamed said the clarification was necessary to correct the impression making the rounds that the Assembly was planning to impeach the governor.

A member of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Assistant-Inspector Lasisi Kabir Iyanda, has been arrested and detained in Police custody over the brutal murder, on 27th June, 2014, of a 32-year-old Kamaldeen Muritala, an Islamic Religious Knowledge teacher attached to Titilope Islamic Comprehensive High School, Ejigbo, Osun State.

Traders, Residents Panic as ‘Explosion’ Rocks Enugu Market -This Day





An eleven-month-old baby was feared dead while several others sustained varying degrees of injuries, when an imaginary explosion occurred at the Eke Ozi market in Igboeze North local government area of Enugu state Friday.

The incident, which occurred at about 2:00pm few metres to the Divisional Police Headquarters at Ogrute, was suspected to be a bomb blast, making the market women and traders to scamper for safety.
